Hot Pockets are a homemade calzone of sorts, where all you need is a microwave to cook them. There are several different flavors of these delightful treats, including pizza, ham and chesse, breakfast, buffalo chicken, etc.
While Hot Pockets are a delicious treat, there are sevearal ways to screw up how you make it. You have to cook them for a certain amount of time, otherwise the middle might be too cold and the corners might be lava. I believe that the best time to cook them is 1:45, becuase you don't have to wait another 2 minutes for it to cool down, and can eat it right away, without burning all the taste buds out of your mouth.
In order to cook this correctly, you have to find the sweet spot for how long you put this in the microwave. The Hot Pocket box suggests 2 minutes of cooking for 'perfection', but I find this much hotter then it needs by be. I suggest to cook for 1:45 for the Hot Pocket to not be as hot as lava, but still cooked in the center.
The steps to cook a Hot Pocket are as follows:
- Grab Hot Pocket from your freezer
- Put the protective sleeve on the Hot Pocket
- Turn the microwave on for 1:45
- Take your Hot Pocket out of the microwave and put the protective sleeve on the bottom
- Enjoy your delightful and amazing treat!!
